Fun, adventure and skills for life for young people aged 4–18.
Based in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire
We are a volunteer-run Scout Group serving Hartley Wintney and the surrounding villages.
Part of the UK Scout movement, we provide safe, inclusive and adventurous activities led by trained adult volunteers.

Squirrels (ages 4–5) is the youngest section of UK Scouting, offering fun, play-based activities that help children build confidence, make friends, and explore the world around them. Through games, crafts, and outdoor activities, Squirrels enjoy a safe and gentle introduction to Scouting and develop early skills for life.

Beavers is part of The Scouts for young people aged 6 to 8, offering fun, active and creative sessions that help children build confidence, make friends and develop independence. Through games, crafts, outdoor activities and simple challenges, Beavers learn to work as part of a team, try new things and develop early skills for life in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Cubs is part of Scouts for young people aged 8 to 10½, offering exciting, hands-on activities that help children grow in confidence, independence and teamwork.
Cubs take part in games, outdoor adventures, skills activities and camps, learning to work together, take on new challenges and develop practical “skills for life” in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment, while preparing for the next step into Scouts.

Scouts is part of The Scouts for young people aged 10½ to 14, focusing on adventure, challenge and personal development. Scouts take part in activities such as camping, hiking, outdoor skills, teamwork and problem-solving, helping them build confidence, resilience and leadership while developing practical skills for life in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment, and preparing them for the next step into Explorers.

Explorers is part of The Scouts for young people aged 14 to 18, offering a more independent and youth-led programme focused on adventure, leadership and personal development. Explorers take part in activities such as expeditions, camping, advanced outdoor skills and volunteering, while developing confidence, teamwork and responsibility, gaining valuable skills and experiences that prepare them for adulthood and future opportunities.

Scouting is powered by volunteers, and we are always keen to welcome new adults to help support our young people. No previous Scouting experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. Full training, support and safeguarding checks are provided, and roles can be flexible to fit around work and family life.
